Jim von Riesemann named director of investor relations for FPL Group, Inc.

JUNO BEACH, Fla. -- FPL Group, Inc. (NYSE: FPL) today announced that Jim von Riesemann has been named director of investor relations. Mr. von Riesemann joins FPL Group from Lazard Freres & Co., LLC, of New York, NY, where he held the position of vice president, power & utilities investment banking.

Previous to Mr. von Riesemann joining Lazard Freres, he served as vice president and security industry analyst for J.P. Morgan Chase. He also held similar positions earlier with Morgan Stanley and Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette. 

Mr. von Riesemann holds a Master of Business Administration from Emory University, Atlanta, GA, as well as a Master of Arts in Philosophy from St. John’s College in Santa Fe, NM. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in finance from the University of Arizona, Tucson, AZ.

Mr. von Riesemann succeeds Bob Barrett, who has been named vice president of development for FPL Energy, a subsidiary of FPL Group.
