FPL Group ranked second among electric and gas utilities on Fortune magazine’s 2006 list of America’s Most Admired Companies.

The 2007 list represents the 25th year in a row that Fortune has compiled its America’s Most Admired Companies ranking. Fortune’s study is conducted annually and surveys high ranking professionals from Fortune 1,000 companies, along with industry analysts, to identify companies with the strongest reputations. A total of 616 companies in 68 industries were surveyed for Fortune’s 2007 ranking during the fourth quarter of 2006.
